What is Bor?
Bor is an open source system for managing Linux desktop configuration across a fleet of machines. It replaces ad-hoc scripts and manual setup with a central server that streams policies to lightweight agents on each workstation - in real time, with full audit logging.
Built by vute.tech as part of our small & medium business stack, Bor is the engine behind our Managed Workstations service.
Real-time delivery
Policies reach every enrolled machine the moment they are published, over persistent gRPC streams with delta sync to minimize bandwidth.

Mutual TLS between server and agents, one-time enrollment tokens, an auto-generated internal CA and a tamper-evident audit log.
